Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro sale in India: When and where to buy upcoming smartphone
Xiaomi has already confirmed that it’ll launch the much-anticipated Note-successor in India next week and it did more than that. Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro will be unveiled at an event in New Delhi on November 22 and everything but the price of the phone has been revealed.
In addition to confirming that the Redmi Note 6 Pro’s release date in India, the Chinese smartphone giant also revealed that the handset will go on sale in the country the next day itself. According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 6 Pro will be available exclusively on Flipkart and Mi.com starting November 23 at 12 p.m.
This is exciting news for fans as they can immediately purchase the Redmi Note 6 Pro without having to wait for days before it is available in the country. The price, of course, will play a crucial role in the success of this new Note smartphone, but Xiaomi’s history has proven that it’ll go with aggressive pricing for this new handset as well.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro was launched in Thailand for THB 6,990, which roughly translates to Rs 15,000. Going by the history of Redmi Note-series pricing, the Redmi Note 6 Pro could well be priced in the Rs 15,000-Rs 20,000 price range.
For the price, the Redmi Note 6 Pro seems to be offering quite a lot. From what we’ve gathered from the phone’s international release, the Redmi Note 6 Pro features a 6.26-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) IPS LCD panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio and an 86 percent screen-to-body ratio.
One of the biggest highlights of the phone is the quad-camera setup. The rear-facing camera is equipped with 12MP+5MP sensors and the front camera combines 20MP+2MP sensors, which also enable AI face unlock.
Under the hood, Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset paired with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB storage. There’s a 4,000mAh battery to power the entire phone, which runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI out-of-the-box.
Other features include hybrid dual SIM card slots, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Note 6 Pro in Thailand in Black, Gold and Rose Gold options, which we expect to see in India as well.
